FAQs - COMMON QUESTIONS ABOUT OPENING A HAIR OR BEAUTY SALON FRANCHISE

Do you like what you've seen, but want to know more about what it entails to open a RUSH Franchise? Then please read on. We've pulled together some of the most common questions that we get asked, to give you a better idea of what's involved.

What experience do I need to be a franchisee?

Previous hairdressing experience is not essential.  If you have experience of managing people and of working with the public in a retail environment then RUSH could be the perfect opportunity for you. If you've got the determination and the skills to make it happen, then our door is open.

How much money is required to get my franchise started?

Ideally £50,000 or upwards. Franchises are financed by a combination of the franchisee’s investment and borrowing. Obviously the more money you invest, the less you will have to borrow and the easier the whole process becomes. We’re happy to consider every application on its merits.

How much help will I get in opening and running my salon franchise?

Lots - that's the benefit of a Rush Franchise. Our dedicated Franchise Team will help you every step of the way. Finding the right site, negotiating with landlords, preparing your business plan, salon design and shop-fitting – we help with all of this. You'll also get ongoing support from our Operations, Marketing and HR teams to make sure your salon gets the staff and clients it needs to succeed.

How much freedom will I have to run my franchise salon?

The way franchising works in principle is that you buy into an existing successful business model, so there must be a large degree of conformity with it and the RUSH group. But never lose sight of the fact that it’s your business. What you and your team put into it will determine how successful you will be.

What are the risks of being a franchisee?

The risks are the same ones that face any new business. However, by taking on a franchise the risks are considerably reduced. Research shows that of all new business start-ups, only one in five will still be successful in five years time. But - for Franchise businesses, the number that remain successful and are still trading in five years time is FOUR out of five.

What are the rewards for a successful hair and beauty salon franchise owner?

The rewards are the satisfaction that comes from running your own business, from stimulating and motivating your team, from being your own boss and - of course - the material and financial rewards that come from a successful and profitable business.
