Q What experience do I need?
A You should ideally have one years experience as a stylist, receptionist or manager, and be mature enough to cope with the day-to-day challenges of running a busy salon.
Q How much money is required to get started?
A Franchises are financed by a combination of the franchisee’s investment and borrowing. Obviously the more money you invest, the less you will have to borrow and the easier the whole process becomes. We’re happy to consider every application on its merits.
Q How much help will I get?
A Loads, John Murphy is our full time Franchise Director and will help you every step of the way. He’ll help you find the right site, negotiate with landlords, prepare your business plan, salon design and shopfitting, business administration, HR, recruitment and anything else you’ll need. Once you’re open, there is help with marketing, advertising and on-going support from Operations Director, George.
Q Hom much freedom will I have?
A The way franchising works in principle is that you buy into an existing successful business model so there must be a large degree of conformity. But you must never lose sight of the fact that its your business and what you put into it will determine how successful you will be. You choose your own team too.
Q What are the risks?
A The same that face any new business. However, by taking on a franchise the risks are considerably reduced. Research shows that of all the new business start ups, only one in five will still be successgul in five years time. For franchised businesses the number is four out of five successful and still trading in five years time.
Q What are the rewards?
A The rewards are the satisfaction that comes from running your own business, stimulating and motivating your team, being your own boss and of course, the material rewardsthat come fom a successful and profitable business.
